Three Features of Microstructure Strengthening of 16Mn Alloy Steel Pipes

Usually, the microstructure of alloy steel pipes determines the structural properties of the steel pipe. However, microstructure strengthening determines the microstructure. After cold rolling of the alloy steel pipe, with the change of cooling environment, various bainite, martensite and others in the microstructure also change, leading to great changes in the structural properties of the steel pipe. More steel pipes with different strength can be obtained by this method to meet different performance requirements.

1. The parent phase is required for microstructure strengthening, i.e. the parent phase for microstructure strengthening shall be contained in the elements of steel pipes.

2. Microstructure strengthening is a process, including microstructure deformation and microstructure diffusion. With the change of cooling environment, the structure of alloy steel pipes may be changed in two ways, namely, diffusion and non-diffusion. In low temperature environment, non-diffusion decides the process of microstructure deformation. In high temperature environment, diffusion determines the change of microstructure.

3. There are two important factors in microstructure strengthening, namely, microstructure strain and ambient cooling. For example, in a heating or a cooling environment, the structure of the alloy steel pipe will gradually change with the change of temperature, and the energy state will change from low to high. In addition, looking at steel pipes in stock, we can know that among those alloy steel pipes, a small amount of media contains extremely high density. Therefore, when adjusting the structural properties of steel pipes, you should always pay attention to the microstructure of alloy steel pipes.
